Fantastic and rare 29” silk-faced doll dressed in felt ensemble. She was made to be in a standing position. Her legs are wired inside to make them stiff. She wears a felt pleated skirt with matching jacket. Attached to her skirt is a tag that reads, “Made in France for Abraham & Straus Brooklyn.” She wears a silk tie and is holding a pair of suede gloves and matching clutch purse. She has red silk floss hair and her face is covered in silk. There is silk loss on areas of her face, but they do not detract from her overall greatness. Her costume is detailed with wool collar and pocket trim, and she wears a flower corsage on her jacket at her neck. There are some surface moth holes along the sides of her jacket, and her right shoe is missing part of the heel.
The dolls listed on this page are all in generally good to very good condition despite their age. I consider any issues to be minor as these doll are 80+ years old.
